Meet Our Team
Dr. Vaughn is a licensed psychologist and licensed clinical social worker with extensive experience in pediatric neuropsychology, psychotherapy, and clinical supervision. She specializes in comprehensive neuropsychological and psychoeducational evaluations for children, adolescents, and young adults, as well as evidence-based therapeutic and remedial interventions for youth and families.
Dr. Vaughn earned her Doctor of Psychology from St. John’s University with a concentration in School Neuropsychology. She has advanced training in the assessment of cognitive, academic, executive functioning, and social-emotional development and has worked across clinical, school, hospital, and community-based settings. Prior to founding Dynamic Minds, Dr. Vaughn held leadership roles in community mental health, including serving as Clinical Director overseeing outpatient and intensive in-home services for youth and families.
Dr. Vaughn provides therapy, parent training, school consultation, and group-based interventions using evidence-based approaches, and has extensive experience collaborating with multidisciplinary teams on psychoeducational and neuropsychological evaluations. She works with children, adolescents, and young adults experiencing anxiety, ADHD, mood and behavioral disorders, autism spectrum disorders, and learning disabilities, integrating CBT, ACT, and DBT-informed strategies into her work.
Dr. Vaughn is actively involved in research related to clinical supervision and training and is a published author whose doctoral work focused on supervisory competency and self-efficacy. She is licensed as a psychologist in New York and North Carolina, is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in North Carolina, and is a Nationally Certified School Psychologist.

Ms. Freeman is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 15 years of experience supporting children, adolescents, adults, and families. She is passionate about helping individuals find purpose, direction, and peace while navigating life’s challenges in a supportive and compassionate environment.
Ms. Freeman works with individuals diagnosed with Autism and ADHD, as well as those experiencing anxiety, stress, anger, trauma, and the effects of abuse or other life stressors. She partners with clients to identify underlying needs, explore barriers to change, and develop effective coping strategies that promote growth and healing.
Her therapeutic approach is person-centered and trauma-informed, incorporating strengths-based, solution-focused, mindfulness, and cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) interventions. When working with children, Ms. Freeman integrates expressive art and play-based techniques alongside parent sessions to support emotional expression and family connection.
Ms. Freeman has worked in a variety of mental health settings since 2009, including outpatient, residential, hospital, and community-based services. Prior to founding Dynamic Minds, she served as a Clinical Supervisor at Family Services, providing outpatient therapy and evidence-based trauma treatments.
She earned her Master of Social Work from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and her Bachelor’s degree from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. Ms. Freeman is certified in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) and Child and Family Traumatic Stress Intervention (CFTSI).
